A Natural High: Acting for Teens with Chemical Health Concerns
Inviting teens living with or recovering from addictions to this acting workshop. We will explore natural ways of feeling “high” through basic acting techniques and improv games, paying special attention to chemical dependency issues. Respect and sensitivity will be given for where each teen is on the recovery journey. A confidential workshop.
When? Tuesday, September 21, 2010. 4:30pm - 7pm
Fee? $45 per person

Choices & Consequences: An acting workshop for persons with Down Syndrome
This acting workshop for persons with Down Syndrome
(ages 14-21) will facilitate growth by…
… practicing and processing important life experiences
through dramatic role-playing exercises.
… experiencing the multi-sensory effects of imaginative
play.
… cultivating empathy for others by “stepping inside
characters” while performing scenes from plays.
… strengthening interpersonal skills and relationships
by performing collaborative ensemble pieces.
... building a feeling of community, and learning to
contribute ideas and actions usefully, through team-building exercises.
When? Friday, October 15, 4:30 - 7pm
